Join us to reduce the stigma of mental illness and increase access to care!
The Busselton Dunsborough Alliance Against Depression aims to help build a resilient Busselton,
Dunsborough and local environs, with enhanced social and emotional well-being by improving
the mental health of people prone to or experiencing depression.
We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of Wadandi Country and recognise the continuing connection to lands, waters and communities. We pay our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and to Elders past, present and emerging.
We all know the saying "It takes a village to raise a child". We simply believe it takes a community to care for those who are vulnerable to or living with depression.
The Four Pillar Framework is an intervention that is a proven community-based framework. It's the worlds best practice in optimising the care of people with depression and preventing suicidal behaviour.
Act-Belong-Commit believes that keeping mentally healthy is just as important as staying physically healthy. The good news is there are things we can all do to promote our mental wellbeing and create a stronger more resilient community.
The Busselton Dunsborough Alliance Against Depression (BDAAD) is a grassroots organization that requires community involvement to succeed. This local Alliance belongs to a state-wide and global network of partners applying the evidence-based European Alliance Against Depression framework (www.eaad.net) and is suported in Western Australia through the WA Primary Health Alliance.
